Why we included this project

Pandrator is a good fit if you want audiobooks, voiceovers, or dubbed videos and prefer to keep the work off cloud services. It takes PDFs, EPUBs, and subtitle files through a pipeline of text cleanup, sentence splitting, speech generation, and export, all on your own machine. Several TTS backends (Kokoro, XTTS v2, Chatterbox, Silero, and others) sit behind one browser interface, and voice cloning is supported for models that allow it, including RVC post-processing and XTTS fine-tuning. Dubbing workflows add transcription via WhisperX and optional translation, which is handy for localizing video. The one-click installer and GUI make it a self-contained option for teams and hobbyists who would rather not assemble scripts, and per-sentence regeneration plus LLM-based text preprocessing help produce cleaner narration.
