Why we included this project

Game development drowns you in choices: engines, asset packs, tutorials, and tools scattered all over the internet. This list collects hundreds of hand-picked links into clearly labeled sections, so you can find what your current task needs without re-searching the web. Each entry is marked as free, open source, or paid, so you know before you invest time whether a resource will cost you. It's aimed at indie developers and small teams who want a broad but dependable overview of the ecosystem, and it also points to game jams, books, and other useful references. Keep in mind this is a discovery map, not a tool to run: you browse it to find resources, not to install it.
