Why we included this project

Otto is a learn-by-doing interface for people who are just starting out in machine learning. Instead of choosing algorithms and parameters up front, you type a goal in plain English, such as labeling flower species by petal length or detecting fraudulent credit card activity, and Otto prefills a sensible pipeline, explains each step, and hands you annotated Python code you can run in the browser or Google Colab. That makes it a useful teaching aid for self-taught beginners who want to move from an idea to a working scikit-learn or Keras model without already knowing the whole vocabulary, since they get both a working result and a readable recipe to study. Just keep in mind this is a demonstration-grade assistant from a 2020 hackathon project, not a maintained production platform, so treat it as a classroom example of good UX for ML onboarding.
