Why we included this project
Claude HUD is a plugin for Claude Code that keeps a live readout of your session right below the input line. Instead of wondering what the agent is doing while it works, you can see how much context you've used, which tools are firing, how many sub-agents are running, and what's left on the todo list. That visibility matters most over long sessions, when context can creep up and quietly degrade the conversation before you notice. Setup is a marketplace install plus one statusline command, so it fits into an existing Claude Code workflow without extra tooling. If you spend hours at a time in Claude Code, this is a simple way to keep an eye on what's actually happening.
