Why we included this project

Generative adversarial network papers come out faster than anyone can track, and the naming alone is half the fun. This index collects hundreds of named GAN variants, each entry pointing to the original paper and, when one exists, an open-source implementation, so you can go from a name like 3D-IWGAN straight to the source. A companion tabular file lets you filter by year or search by title, which helps with literature reviews and with seeing how the field has shifted over time. The list is maintained through pull requests, so it reflects what the community is actually publishing rather than one person's picks. It is a research map, not runnable software, but for finding the right paper and reference code it does the job.
