Why we included this project

Infrastructure engineers who maintain Terraform or Packer configurations can drop HashiCorp-authored skills into the coding assistant they already use. The repo packs 20 skills into two bundles: the terraform one handles module and provider work plus policy code, while the packer one focuses on AMI builds, so teams get HashiCorp's own conventions instead of learning them by trial. Installing is one npx command, or a single plugin install in Claude Code, and you can add an individual skill by path when all you need is, say, the style guide. HashiCorp maintains the repo and tracks a lifecycle status for every skill, which makes it easier to tell what is current before you adopt it.
