Why we included this project

gemma-skills is a small repository that bundles two agent skills for working with Gemma models, each installable with a single command. gemma-dev covers building applications with Gemma, from deployment recipes and integration patterns to browser-based inference, Vertex AI, and Apple Silicon setups, the sort of guidance you would otherwise piece together from scattered documentation. gemma-trainer handles the training side, walking through supervised fine-tuning, preference optimization, and reward modeling on local hardware, so an agent can take a developer through model adaptation step by step. Both skills install through the Vercel or Context7 skills CLIs, which keeps agents pointed at current procedures rather than stale advice. Teams prototyping on Gemma or hooking it into agent workflows get a practical shortcut that saves digging through docs.
