Why we included this project

This roadmap reads like a mentor's honest notes: a self-taught developer's own path through Ruby, Rails, and the web skills that sit around them. The order makes sense for someone starting from zero, front-end basics first, then Ruby and Rails fundamentals, then SQL, Git, and deeper front-end work on the way to advanced Rails topics. What makes it useful is the curation. Each section points to specific free resources like The Odin Project and MDN, and it covers practical ground beginners often miss, such as getting hired and studying real Rails codebases. Self-taught programmers lost in tutorial sprawl will appreciate a checklist that says what to learn next, while experienced Rubyists can still mine the advanced and community sections for gaps.
