Why we included this project

Firebase's Apple SDK is the official client for iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, and it now ships Firebase AI Logic, which lets you call Gemini foundation models directly from Swift or Objective-C without running your own backend. Alongside the familiar authentication, Firestore, messaging, and storage modules, that makes it a single dependency for teams that want a managed backend plus on-device generative AI in one place. The repository is also the reference implementation for how Firebase structures its Apple libraries, which helps if you're integrating these services or want to study how a large, multi-module SDK is organized. Two things worth knowing before you adopt it: analytics is closed-source and distributed separately, and CocoaPods distribution is being phased out in favor of Swift Package Manager.
