Why we included this project
Anyone who runs more than one AI coding agent on the same machine has hit the same wall: each tool keeps its own config files and API keys, and switching providers means editing them by hand. cc-switch puts Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Grok Build, and Hermes Agent behind one desktop control panel, so you can save several provider profiles and swap between them without opening each tool's configuration. It also manages MCP servers and skills across those agents, which matters when you want the same setup available no matter which tool you launch. Built with Tauri, it runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux as a local desktop app rather than a server-side service. Teams that standardize on a few agents and rotate API providers will find it a straightforward way to keep credentials and settings consistent.
