Why we included this project

Vim and Neovim users who have been watching the Copilot wave pass them by can get the same kind of assistance without switching editors. The plugin hooks Windsurf (formerly Codeium) into the terminal through your usual plugin manager, so your keybindings and workflow stay exactly where they are. Inline completion is the main draw, but it also brings chat and other Windsurf features into Vim for people who want AI help without leaving the editor or paying for a subscription. It is actively maintained with a healthy contributor base, and setup takes about as long as installing any other plugin, which makes it an easy thing to try.
