Why we included this project
Most agent frameworks on the JVM lean on prompt chains, but Embabel works differently. You define typed Actions, Goals, and Conditions over your own domain objects, and a non-LLM planner reorders and parallelizes those steps at runtime, so the system can handle tasks you never explicitly coded. Because it sits on Spring, agents are just beans you inject alongside your usual persistence, transactions, and AOP wiring. Teams that want strong typing and refactorable code, plus the freedom to mix local and hosted models for cost and privacy, get an API that feels like home to anyone who has worked with Spring.
