Why we included this project

Codex sessions that run long on a Mac tend to keep you at the desk. Remodex pairs an iPhone with that machine over an end-to-end encrypted session, so you can watch output stream in live, queue follow-up prompts, and steer an active run without starting over. From the phone you can also commit and push, switch branches, attach photos, and tune how much thinking Codex does. The bridge is local-first and self-host friendly: the transport layer stays inspectable, and you can run your own relay instead of depending on a hosted endpoint. If you drive an AI coding agent all day and want to keep an eye on it from anywhere, this is a focused early-stage tool worth trying.
