Why we included this project
Quantitative trading and finance engineering involve many platforms, libraries, data sources, and APIs, and this curated index is a practical map for navigating them. Rather than being installable software, it is a hand-maintained directory that groups dozens of resources into useful categories: trading platforms and systems, quant libraries and models, data sources, crypto tooling, plus companies, fintech, and forums worth knowing. The maintainers apply a light quality filter, roughly 100 stars on GitHub, and accept pull requests, so the list stays useful without claiming to be complete. It works as a research starting point before you commit to a stack, and it doubles as a reading list for newcomers trying to understand how the pieces fit together.
