Why we included this project

Echo Loop is a Flutter app that turns any audio you give it into a structured listening and speaking workout. The routine is fixed: blind listening, then sentence-by-sentence intensive decoding, shadowing, retelling, and spaced review, with the app choosing how many repetitions each segment gets and when reviews come due. Pronunciation is scored by aligning speech recognition against the source text, and long sentences are split into sense groups so they are easier to imitate. For language educators and self-study learners alike, the appeal is that the whole loop runs on its own: bring your own audio and the app decides what to do next each session. It also works as an open-source reference for structuring a method-driven language learning app with offline playback and contextual flashcard review.
