Why we included this project

OctoBot is a self-hosted Python trading bot aimed at people who are tired of placing every crypto order by hand. It handles Grid, DCA, and basket strategies across Binance, Coinbase, Hyperliquid, and a dozen or more other exchanges, and it can act on TradingView Pine Script alerts, so signals you already use slot right in. The web interface walks you from strategy setup through backtesting and paper trading to live orders, which removes a lot of the guesswork before real money is at stake. Its optional AI connectors are the unusual part: you can point trading decisions at OpenAI or a local Ollama model like Llama and let the bot react to conversational prompts or model-driven analysis. Because it runs on your own infrastructure, solo traders and small teams who want to keep keys and market data off closed platforms get a genuinely self-hosted option that is still actively maintained.
