Why we included this project
iPolloWork is a desktop workbench that brings Codex and Claude Code style agentic coding into a visual, local-first interface, then carries that same workflow beyond plain source code. You describe what you want, a feature, a document, a slide deck, or a web page, and the agent plans the steps, reads and edits files, runs commands, and shows you its changes for approval before they take effect. Everything it produces stays editable in the same window, so the output is a working draft rather than a finished artifact. It runs on your own machine with your own model and user-controlled permissions, which matters for teams that do not want every repository sent to a hosted service. If you would rather have one workspace for coding and adjacent content tasks than a stack of single-purpose tools, this is worth trying against a real repo.
