Why we included this project

This is a deep, well-organized study archive for anyone trying to make sense of the agent-first engineering paradigm OpenAI introduced as Harness Engineering. Rather than a single blog post, it works through the idea in stages: concept notes on the six core principles, independent thinking and critique, a small hands-on demo, and a large set of translated articles from Anthropic, Martin Fowler, LangChain, and others. Each reference comes with a summary of its core argument and key data, and the notes cross-link related ideas so you can trace how the field developed. Teams moving toward agent-driven development will find the material on AGENTS.md structure, linter-based mechanical enforcement, and feedback loops directly useful, and the translations make otherwise scattered English sources accessible. It is a learning resource rather than something you deploy, but it is one of the more complete public maps of this emerging practice.
