Why we included this project

Most DevOps learning stops at the reading page; this one is organized around doing the work until the skills stick. It is a community-maintained directory that points to free hands-on labs and exercises grouped by skill area, from first-week Linux through cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and security, so a developer new to infrastructure can start gentle while someone already in the field can jump to the tougher material. The entries favor projects and challenges that produce a real outcome rather than theory posts, which makes it easier to finish what you start instead of drifting between random tutorials. There is nothing to install or run here; it is a map you work through at your own pace.
