Why we included this project

DataHub gives you one map of the data in your organization. Instead of chasing what lives in scattered warehouses, lakes, BI tools, and ML systems, you get a searchable catalog where datasets, dashboards, and models show up with ownership, governance policies, and data quality checks attached. Metadata flows in from dozens of connectors with column-level lineage, and streaming updates keep the picture current rather than waiting on nightly batch jobs. The GraphQL and REST APIs plus Python and Java SDKs let you embed discovery into your own tooling, and an MCP server hands the catalog to AI agents that need grounded context about what your data actually is.
