Why we included this project

This skill turns everyday snapshots of a cat, a bowl, or a street corner into small hand-drawn illustration pages, and it does so with a concrete style spec instead of a vague "make it poetic" instruction. The output is fixed at 3:4 vertical framing with 80 to 88 percent blank white paper, the subject kept to 10 to 16 percent of the page, and color concentrated in that one small drawing. It names exactly what to preserve from the original photo (subject, pose, spatial relationships, key objects, mood) and what to leave out, like full-bleed photo looks and large typography. There are practical guardrails too: recheck that the subject stays under 18 percent of the page, and redo runs where the tiny handwritten captions come out as garbled text. This is a narrow but strongly opinionated aesthetic, best suited to personal journals, editorials, and memory-driven cultural projects rather than photorealistic retouching or commercial posters.
