Why we included this project
When your local media library is large, finding one photo or clip by guessing file names gets painful fast. MaterialSearch indexes images and videos on your own machine and lets you search them the way you think: type a plain-language description of the scene, or hand it a reference image, and it returns matching pictures and video clips with the specific frames that fit. Because everything runs locally, private or client material never has to be uploaded anywhere. The search core is also published as a separate pip package, so developers can drop the same capability into their own tools rather than only using the built-in interface. A ready-to-run Windows bundle covers people who just want a working app without a build setup.
