Why we included this project
Crush is a terminal-native agentic coding assistant that connects your tools and code to the LLM you prefer. It runs on macOS, Linux, Windows, and several BSDs, and you can swap models mid-session without losing the conversation context. Instead of guessing at your project, it uses Language Server Protocols to pull in the same kind of context an IDE would, and MCP support lets you bolt on extra capabilities. The model support spans OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible APIs plus a wide range of hosted services, so you are not tied to a single vendor. If you would rather work in the terminal than inside a heavyweight IDE plugin, Crush is a solid, actively maintained choice.
