Why we included this project

This is a reading list of NLP research papers, grouped into thematic sections that run from the BERT and Transformer era through transfer learning and downstream tasks up to recent LLM work on RAG, RLHF alignment, chain-of-thought reasoning, and long-context architectures. The organization is the main draw: related papers sit together, so you can follow how a line of work developed and find the original paper behind a technique you keep seeing cited. The downstream-task section is the most practical part for engineers, since it collects the standard baselines and datasets for problems like NER, relation extraction, and question answering. It is a reference index, not runnable software, so think of it as a study companion and a good place to start a literature review.
