Why we included this project

Many teams end up running a static wiki and an AI chatbot as two separate systems. PandaWiki merges the two into one self-hosted platform: you write docs in Markdown or HTML, each knowledge base becomes its own wiki site, and the same content drives AI-assisted writing, Q&A, and search. You can also embed the wiki on an existing website as a widget, or connect it to DingTalk, Feishu, or WeCom so it answers internal questions in chat. Import is flexible, since it can pull from a URL, a sitemap, an RSS feed, or offline files, which helps teams gather notes scattered across several places. It runs on Docker with a Linux server and needs an LLM API configured before the AI features work, so it suits developers who prefer to host and control their documentation stack instead of relying on a hosted service.
