Why we included this project
Self-directed learners often hit a wall when they try to read machine learning research: the papers are dense, the math is heavy, and it's hard to know where to start. This repository collects short, plain-English summaries of notable papers, tagged by topic so you can jump straight into the subfield you care about, whether that's object detection, GANs, or face recognition, without wrestling a full PDF. Each entry distills the core idea, method, and key results into a few paragraphs, enough to build intuition before you commit to the original. The collection skews heavily toward computer vision, but NLP and reinforcement learning get coverage too, giving a decent cross-section of the field. For students, engineers, or researchers who want a guided tour of important work, this works well alongside a formal syllabus or as the backbone of a reading group.
