Why we included this project

Hermes Agent, the open-source framework from Nous Research, takes a different route from the agents most people have tried: it ships with a self-improving learning loop, a three-layer memory system, and Skills that grow on their own instead of being hand-written. This book explains those pieces in plain language across 21 sections and six parts, moving from first setup to multi-agent orchestration, the Kanban collaboration surface, and an honest OS-level security model. People coming from Claude Code or OpenClaw get clear comparisons, and anyone who would rather use a desktop app than a terminal finds an easier way in. The guide is a free, downloadable PDF in English and Chinese, MIT-licensed, so teams can adapt it for internal onboarding. It is a book rather than software you install, but a thorough one.
