Why we included this project

This plugin brings Gemini's image models into Claude Code, so you can generate and edit images without leaving the terminal. Instead of sending a bare prompt at an API, Claude works like a creative director: it interprets what you want, shapes the wording around the right kind of shot, and adds lighting and composition details before any paid request goes out. The planning happens offline first, which matters for cost control. You see the prompt, model, settings, output path, and a cost estimate, and a single short-lived approval authorizes one generation attempt. Editing existing images, holding a consistent character across turns, batch variations, and aspect ratios up to 4K are all covered too. For teams and solo devs who already live in Claude Code, this is a lighter option than context-switching to a separate image tool.
