Why we included this project

This is the notebook companion to the first edition of Aurélien Géron's machine learning book, and it still works as a hands-on reference for the fundamentals of scikit-learn and TensorFlow. Each notebook runs a real task from start to finish, from loading and cleaning data to training and evaluating models, with exercise solutions included so you can check your work. The repo is marked deprecated because Géron has moved on to a third edition and a PyTorch version, so newcomers should start with those newer repositories. If you already own the first-edition book, or just want a compact tour of classic ML techniques, the notebooks still give you a straightforward way to work through the material.
